Model No. Gather Collection

As a studio, PROWL uses design to tell stories about the climate crisis we are facing and the ways we can shift our manufacturing practices towards positive change. By collaborating with Oakland-based furniture company, Model No., PROWL demonstrated a local, circular, and digitally produced furniture collection combating the environmental harm caused by manufacturing practices in the furniture business.

Process

In the production of the set, the sawdust generated from the milling of the table, often seen as waste and thrown out, was collected and compounded into the plant-based polymers used to 3D print the stools - a fully circular and waste-free case study for how we can create responsible furnishings.
